Munnangi, also known as Muni-koti-puram, is a major village in Kollipara mandal in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh, India. Munnangi is famous for Wooden Plank Bhajan, a traditional dance form with two wooden sticks. Krishna River flows through Munnangi making it a part of the rice bowl of Andhra Pradesh.
Geography
Munnangi lies on the east side of the river Krishna in Guntur District and about 14 miles (23 km) southwest from Vijayawada. It is on the historic southern route from Vijayawada to Repalle along with the River Krishna, and is bounded on its western side by the Tenali route that ran from Munnangi to Tenali via Duggirala, which is a major road connected to Munnangi Village.
