Muminunnesa Women's College

Muminunnesa Women's College ((bn. মুমিনুন্নিসা মহিলা কলেজ)), or Muminunnesa College in short, is a public university-college located opposite Town Hall of Mymensingh near the Brahmaputra river in Bangladesh. It was established in 1946 and was named after Muminunnesa Khan, mother of a reputed businessman M. R. Khan. Initially established as a private collecge, it was nationalized in 1982 and was upgraded into a university-college in 1993. It offers undergraduate and post-graduate courses in different faculties including Humanities and Science. It has a halls of residence within the campus. The college uniform is a red vest with white shorts or skirts and white socks and shoes.

Bangladeshi writer and publisher Iffat Ara graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the College in 1968.^[1] Also educationsist Maliha Khatun served in this college as its principal for a long time.

In June 2007 the Muminunnesa Women's College debating team was declared the winner at a national Debate Workshop conducted by the Mymensingh Debate Federation.^[2]
