Muhammad Shoaib (Urdu: محمد شعیب; born September 29, 1990) is a Pakistani singer and reality programs competitor. Famously known for his first reality show Pakistan Idol.[1] Shoaib is a contemporary singer hails from a non-music background. He is one of the 11 finalist of currently running Pakistani reality singing competition Pakistan Idol.[2] His music influenced is Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.

Personal life

Muhammad Shoaib was born on September 29, 1990 in Peshawar. Shoaib has been working as a journalist since the age of 16. He worked as a producer on the radio as well as TV. He has also worked for the print media. He is the second eldest of 3 brothers, both of his brothers and father are body builders with Shoaib's father being Mr.Pakistan in body building.

Pakistan Idol

Muhammad Shoaib auditioned for Pakistan Idol in Peshawar Auditions. The judges were deeply impressed by his performance and he received yes from Bushra and Hadiqa. Muhammad Shoaib came in the bottom 3, in top 13 due to lack of votes but was saved when Mehwish Maqsood was eliminated due to lower votes.[3] He is good friends with Syed Sajid Abbas, Syed Ali Asad Zaidi, Kashif Ali, Zamad Baig, Abd-ul-Rafay Khan, Muhammad Zeeshan Ali, Waqas Ali and Rose Mary. On April 27, 2014, Muhammad Shoaib became the first runner-up of Pakistan Idol.[4]
