Maulana Muhammad Abdullah Ghazi (محمد عبد اللہ غازی)Son of (Ghazi Muhammad) born on June 1, 1935) in far-flung village Rajanpur, Basti-Abdullah into the family of poor farmer with help and motivation from his father he enrolled into Madrassa by the age of 7 and later for further study moved to Karachi.according to his father,s wish he dedicated himself for study and graduated from Jamia Uloom-ul-Islamia in Banori-town Karachi. After his graduation he was appointed as Lal Masjid first Imam in 1966. He created many seminaries in Pakistan.and first time in Pakistan he introduced female Madrassa education system and created Pakistan,s first female seminary jamia hafsa. In 1997 he was appointed as Chairman of Ruet-e-Hilal Committee till his assassination 1998.he had good relations with other sectarian sects and non Muslims as well.he was considered to be a patriotic had good ties with military and many politician.with zia ul haq he was very close.
Soviet war in Afghanistan
During the Soviet war in Afghanistan (1979–1989), the Red Mosque played a major role in recruiting and training Mujahideen to fight with the Afghan Mujahideen against Soviet troops. A few months before his assassination, he had met Osama bin Laden in Kandahar.
Assassination
Moulana had routine every day he use to walk to one of Seminary for lecture(7 km away form Red-Mosque).on the day of his assassination the walked to his Madrassa jamia faradia and came back by car till noon,as he get out of the car his elder son moulana abdul aziz approached him and the engage in talk for some time.as many people use to come to him with their problems.A man was standing in-front of his house door.as he walked to ward him he pull out a gun and started shooting and emptied his magazine.badly injuring Moulana,after that he indiscriminately started firing Moulana abdul aziz barely escaping death.assassin escaped with the help of accomplice waiting out side in a car.Moulana Abdullah died of his injury on his way to hospital on.
FIR and Case
Due to lack of trust on pakistan,s legal system his elder son Refused to lodged FIR.but his younger son Abdul Rashid Ghazi decided opposite and lodged the FIR and pursue the case.with his and police,s relentless effort A Man was arrested and after ID prade eye Witness Identified the Mas as Assassin.but the next day without any reason police released him.Abdul Rashid Ghazi protested it and threaten police for legal action if they did,t arrested him again.with ghazi incrising pressure on police he was called by a military officer Ghazi went with his counsel.In that meeting officer asked ghazi to withdraw case or face the fate of his father.as ghazi was very close to his father,according to his friend it was turning point in his life,and that disillusioned him with system.
