The basal sandstone of the Potsdam Sandstone. Deposited in a nearshore environment, unconformably overlying Precambrian basement.[1] Overlain by Eau Clair or Ordovician rocks. Presumed Upper Cambrian in age, though not verified.[2] See infobox for more details.[3]
