Motor Oil (Hellas), Corinth Refineries S.A. (Greek: Μότορ Όιλ (Ελλάς) Διυλιστήρια Κορίνθου Α.Ε.) is a leading oil company in Southeastern Europe based in Greece focusing on petroleum refining, maintaining business interests in Libya, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Yemen.

Refinery, facilities and gas stations

The company operates the second-largest exporting refiner(70%) in Europe based in Corinth, Greece,and the Cairo-based oil and gas exploration and production facilities in Egypt. It also owns the Avin, Shell and Cyclon chain of fuel stations in Greece which are more than 2,000 along with a host of other gas and energy-related businesses.

Motor Oil Hellas has numerous subsidiares such as Vegas Oil and Gas and Coral Gas but the largest is the Avin International S.A. Group which possesses a fleet of 28 oil tankers and 6 container ships.

Ownership

Motor Oil's majority shareholder is Motor Oil Holdings S.A.(52.5%), a holding company that belongs to the prominent Greek business family of Vardinogiannis with Saudi Aramco Overseas retaining 26.8%. 22.2% of its shares are available to the public through a float on the Athens Stock Exchange.Motor Oil Hellas market capitalization on February 2015 is 7.83 billion Euro.
