Motion Industries, Inc., headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, is the nation's largest distributor of industrial parts. The company was founded in 1972 and has been a wholly owned subsidiary of Genuine Parts since 1976. Motion Industries provides parts for many companies including Black & Decker, Ford, and GM. There are more than 500 Motion Industries offices located throughout the United States and in Canada through its Motion Canada subsidiary. The company operates in Mexico through its Motion Mexico, S. de R.L. de C.V. division.[1]
