Moses Charikar

Moses Samson Charikar is an Indian computer scientist.

Biography

Charikar was born in Bombay, India where he attended Indian Institute of Technology. In summer of 2000 he graduated from Stanford University with a Ph.D. and attended its graduate school later on.[1] Currently he is a professor at the Princeton University and have over a 100 peer-reviewed articles which bring his h-index to 43.[2] In 2012 he was awarded the Paris Kanellakis Theory and Practice Award along with Andrei Broder and Piotr Indyk.[3] He also won bronze and silver medals at the 1990 and 1991 International Mathematical Olympiads respectively.[4]
