Morris Hood III is a Democratic member of the Michigan Senate, representing Dearborn and a portion of Detroit since his election in 2010. He previously served three terms in the House of Representatives.[1] Prior to his election to the Legislature, Hood was an employee at Ford's Detroit Engine Fuel Tank Plant.
Hood is the son of Morris W. Hood, Jr., the grandson of Morris W. Hood, Sr., and the brother of Raymond W. Hood. He was an unsuccessful candidate for the House in 1998.[2]
