Morfee Lake

Morfee Lake is approximately 1.5 kilometers from the Alexander Mackenzie Hotel. It is a short distance from the town of Mackenzie, British Columbia. During winter months ice fishing becomes the sport of choice.

According to a haunting legend, a young girl drowned in this lake after dark one summer night. Now this girl's helpless ghostly screams can be heard echoing over the tranquil lake at night. Also, a white misty apparition is seen both in and over the lake.^[1]
