Mordechai Dovid Unger (מרדכי דוד אונגער) was born in 1954 to Rabbi Yaakov Yitzchok Unger of Dombrov.[1] He is the younger son-in-law of the late Grand Rabbi Naftali Zvi Halberstam, the fourth of Bobover Rebbe, and the second oldest grandson of Rabbi Shlomo Halberstam, the third Bobover Rebbe.
Following the death of his father-in-law, Grand Rabbi Naftali Zvi Halberstam, in 2005, some favored him as his successor. He is currently Bobov-45 Rebbe (45-אדמו"ר מבאבוב), and the other son-in law, Rabbi Yehoshua Rubin, is Bobov-45 Rav (אבד"ק באבוב- 45).
