Morchard Road railway station is located in the village of Down St Mary in Devon, England. It is named after the village of Morchard Bishop which lies a few miles to the north-east. It is a quiet station on the Tarka Line and is operated by First Great Western.
History
The station was opened by the North Devon Railway on 1 August 1854.[1]
Services
All trains on the hourly Barnstaple to Exmouth service are scheduled to stop at Morchard Road on request – this means that passengers alighting here must tell the conductor that they wish to do so, and those waiting to join must signal clearly to the driver as the train approaches. Trains connect with main line services at Exeter St Davids.

Community railway
