Moor (Urdu: ماں) is an upcoming Pakistani family/drama film written and directed by Jami. The film is based on a true story of the decline of railways system in Pakistan. The film's title, Moor, is a Pushto word meaning "Mother". Moor was previously named as Morqaye.[2][3][4][5]

Plot outline

The plot revolves around railway system of Balochistan, especially the closure of Zhob Valley railways in 1984.[1] Besides the movie shows how families are run by the women. According to the director of the movie, the film depicts living through the problems faced by Pakistan.[6]

Story

A village station master stuck in time - rediscovers his love for his wife through a journey of self-awareness, propelled by her death- beyond his village and into the real world for the first time.

Moor is produced by Mandviwalla Entertainment and Azadfilm.[1] The film is shot in Quetta, Muslim Bagh, Khanozai, Shelabagh, Bostan, Hyderabad, Sukkur and Karachi.[1]

Music

One of the songs in the movie is contributed by the Pakistani music band Strings.[8][9] The film bought the copyrights to the song Kothbiro by Ayub Ogada. The song is featured in the trailer of the film.[10]

Release

According to social media and other sources movie is expected to release in summer, 2015. .[11]
