Montagu Stone-Wigg
The Rt Rev Montagu John Stone-Wigg was an Anglican Colonial Bishop who in the last decade of the 19th century and the first one of the 20th.
. He was born on 4 October 1861[1] and educated at Winchester and University College, Oxford.[2] Ordained in 1885,[3] he was the first Canon at St John's Cathedral, Brisbane[4] and the inaugural Bishop of New Guinea. He died on 16 October 1918.[5]
