Mont-de-Marsan is a commune and capital of the Landes department in Aquitaine in southwestern France.

Mont-de-Marsan airbase « Constantin Rozanoff » is a major installation of the French Air Force. The base includes CEAM (the French air force military experimentation and trials organisation), an air defense radar command reporting centre, and an air defence control training site. Mont-de-Marsan airbase was formerly home to France's first operational squadron of nuclear bombers, the Dassault Mirage IVA.

Organized in honor of the patron saint of the city in mid-July, the Fêtes of Madeleine are the first fairs in the Southwest after Pamplona (Spain). Tens of thousands of people, young and old, called "Festayres" come from everywhere to share moments of jubilation at the bandas, musicians southwest, which enliven the streets nights and days ... In the streets, the parade of floats decorated with small flowers, made by associations and neighborhood committees, has been a resounding success. As for the fireworks, it illuminates the city of a thousand lights and shines many eyes!
