Monson is a census-designated place (CDP) in Tulare County, California.[2] Monson sits at an elevation of 325 feet (99 m).[2] The 2010 United States census reported Monson's population was 188.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP covers an area of 0.5 square miles (1.3 km²), all of it land.

Demographics

The 2010 United States Census[3] reported that Monson had a population of 188. The population density was 382.3 people per square mile (147.6/km²). The racial makeup of Monson was 121 (64.4%) White, 1 (0.5%) African American, 5 (2.7%) Native American, 4 (2.1%) Asian, 0 (0.0%) Pacific Islander, 57 (30.3%) from other races, and 0 (0.0%) from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 147 persons (78.2%).

The Census reported that 188 people (100% of the population) lived in households, 0 (0%) lived in non-institutionalized group quarters, and 0 (0%) were institutionalized.

There were 49 households, out of which 21 (42.9%) had children under the age of 18 living in them, 32 (65.3%) were opposite-sex married couples living together, 6 (12.2%) had a female householder with no husband present, 4 (8.2%) had a male householder with no wife present. There were 3 (6.1%) unmarried opposite-sex partnerships, and 0 (0%) same-sex married couples or partnerships. 6 households (12.2%) were made up of individuals and 3 (6.1%) had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
