The Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party shortened as MPRP in English (Mongolian: Монгол Ардын Хувьсгалт Нам, Mongol Ardyn Khuvsgalt Nam, МАХН, MAKHN) is a political party in Mongolia. The party was established in 2010 by Nambaryn Enkhbayar. The party received approval to use the old name of the Mongolian People's Party from the Supreme Court of Mongolia.[1] Enkhbayar became its current leader. Enkhbayar is a former chairman of the original MPRP, and former President of Mongolia.
Mission
The Mongolian People’s Party sets its mission as follows:
- Dismantle oligopolistic system
- More authority to the people
- Natural wealth owned by people
- Employment and property for each and every household
- Valued Mongolian and established youth
The MPRP believes that with the implementation of these integrated policies aimed at creating human-centered social welfare, pro-development economic growth, the nation and citizen-oriented public governance system, the country and its people will achieve prosperity and progress.
Membership
The MPRP has 80,000 members (as of 2012), thus being the third largest political party in the country.
Non Governmental Organization
Senior's Union of MPRP Seniors take an important place in the party’s life with their active support, lively findings and comments, and contribution of their rich experience to the party’s programs and decision making. According to the article 28.1 of the Platform of MPRP, Senior’s Union has established by first congress on 3 December 2011. Currently Union has 40000 members in 9 districts and 21 provinces.
“Democracy – Justice”- Youth Union of MPRP Youth Union aims to contribute their effort to the development of the country and to honor sovereignty, freedom, justice, national unity, patriotism and national pride; promoting democracy and open society; enhancing involvement of every youth to the development of the country and society. “Democracy – Justice”- Youth Union has established on 18 December 2011 and has 20000 members today.
Women’s United Association of MPRP WUA has established on 9 December 2011, aims at promoting the role of women at a policy making level in politic and social area both, protect their lives in safety condition and their rights of politics, social and economy. Women’s United Association aims at promoting the role and increased representation of women at a policy making level, supporting women’s education and skills, and advocating women’s interests in government policies and strategies.
“Revolution of Justice” - Nation’s United Student's Association of MPRP Association has established on 6 May 2011 by the first congress. “Revolution of Justice” - Nation’s United Student's Association aims to develop talent and education of students and also to open up social communication and political opportunities.
History
After parliamentary elections in 2012, the MPRP, which ran in the elections as the Justice Coalition with Mongolian National Democratic Party (2005), became a part of a coalition government with the Democratic Party.
