Molloy College is an independent, private liberal arts college located in Rockville Centre, New York.
Description
The college was founded as a women's university by the Dominican Sisters of the Congregation of the Holy Cross Amityville in September 1955. Until the early 1970s under Sr. Mary Celeste, the college had not accepted men into its programs, and not until 1982 did it officially became co-ed.[1] It has a student population of approximately 4,450 undergraduate, masters and doctoral students.[2] The university offers both undergraduate and graduate degrees in business management, finance, education, humanities and speech language pathology. Its athletic program is a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association's Division II.
