Mohandas College of Engineering and Technology

The Mohandas College of Engineering and Technology is located in Nedumangad, Kerala, India.[1] The college, which is affiliated to the University of Kerala, was established in 2002.[2][3] Mohandas College is a project of the Mohandas Group of Companies and is managed by the VN Gangadhara Panikker Memorial Trust. The college has received ISO 9001:2008 certification.[4] The college is also known by the short form MCET. The present principal of MCET is Dr.Ibrahim kutty.

Programs

Courses are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education.[4] Mohandas College offers the Bachelor of Technology degree program in disciplines that include Mechanical, Biotechnology, Electronics and Communication, Electrical and Electronics, Computer and Engineering,Information Technology and Civil Engineering with better faculties...[5][6] The college has offered the Master of Computer Applications degree since 2005.[7]

Club activities

The college provides all the facilities for organizing co-curricular and extra curricular activities for promoting artistic, sport and intellectual talents of students, through various clubs viz painting, drawing, drama, debate, music, dance, quiz, paper presentation and software clubs. An intercollegiate festival named "ILLUMINATI" is conducted over two days by the students themselves for students to exhibit their talent in art as well as in organizational skills. The present official College band is Bindass, which acclaimed huge positive result in their last performance for the week-long Decennial Celebration Program.

Software Club

There is a software club functioning in the college. Software Club undertakes various software activities. It provides the student a chance to involve in various software activities.Also encourage experience of professionals in the field of software development.

National Service Scheme

The NSS unit of the college (Tech cell Unit:159) actively engages in various social service activities in and around the college. They provide equipment like black boards, benches and desks for primary and secondary schools in the neighborhoods. They organize festival celebrations for school children. Blood donation camps, medical awareness camps, distribution of clothes, books etc. to needy children and people are also arranged by the student unit of NSS of the College.

Photography Club

Known for its fun filled environment, Photography club is organizing different art and photography related events like pot painting, clay modelling, intra-club projects, workshops on painting, sketching, photography techniques, designing software etc. involving loads of creativity and enjoyment. It is a platform for enhancing one's event management skills, teamwork; bringing out creativity & imagination!
