Mohammed Manga (born 5 December 1972 in Dakar as Richard Manga[2]) is a former Senegalese football player.
Career
The striker started his career with Jeunesse amicale de Fass,[2] before signed in the end of the year 1993 with AS Douanes (Dakar).[2] He started with the Dakar based club under his birth name Richard Manga, 1994 his senior career.[2] Only a year later left his club Douanes and signed with Tunisian side AS Djerba.[2] He becames by the club the award for the best Goalscorer and moved then 1996 to League rival CS Hammam-Lif.[2] He played the next two years with Hammam-Lif,[2] before signed 1998 in Saudi Arabia for Al-Ahli Jeddah.[2] After a year in Jeddah left the club and signed for Saudi Arabian second league side Sdoos Club.[2] 2003 signed for Saudi Premier League club Al Shabab Riyadh and was with 15 goals the top scorer of the 2003/2004 Saudi League.[3] After two years with Al Shabab FC Riyadh, signed for Al Shabab Al Arabi Club in Dubai.[4] In the early of 2007 moved to Romania and signed for Politehnica Iaşi.[5] He played for the club until summer 2007 and moved to Morocco to sign for Difaâ El Jadidi.[6]
International
Manga played in twelve games for the Senegal national football team and scored three goals for them.[5]
Personal life
Richard Manga converted in 2002 to the Islam[2] and changed his name from Richard Manga, to Mohamed Bachir.[2] He played the last years of his career as Mohammad Bachir Manga.[2]
