Mochh

Mochh (Urdu: موچھ‎), is a town and union council, an administrative subdivision, of Mianwali District in the Punjab province of Pakistan.^[1] It is part of Mianwali Tehsil and is located north of the district capital at 32°44'49N 71°30'51E and lies east of the Indus River.^[2] The most predominant sub-tribe in Mochh are the Taja Khels.

Generally Niazi tribe is settled in Mianwali District with sprinkling of 'Awans' who are not Niazi. Mochh people are from 'Tajay Khel' Branch of Niazis. It is a big village and related villages are 'Swans' as well Shahbaz khel.Prominent people in Mochh are Maj Gen(Retd) Rafi Ullah Khan HI(M), Maj (r) Asmat Ullah Khan and Brig (Retd) Dr . Muhammad Aslam Khan.The sub-tribes of Mochh are Dirgai Khel, Biland Khel, Ahmad Khel, Hummayoon Khel, Alam Khan Khel and Kabir Khel. Mawaz wala is another tribe of Mochh. It is famous due to peer Mohammad Shah Sahab (late).

Mochh has a government higher secondary school in the mid of the village. Its faculty is no doubt outstanding, including Abidullah khan MSc math, mushtaq khan M.C.s, khurshid khan MA political science, MA history, MA Islamic study. Amanullah khan and many more. Professor Matee Ullah Khan is serving in Govt degree college Mianwali. He is Mphill zoology. Mochh literacy rate no doubt is less than other towns and villages of mianwali but besides this Mochh has so many police officers, military officers, doctors, engineers and even bureaucrats. Shah passand khan, Fateh khan, shah jahan khan, Amanullah khan (late), Tariq khan, unas khan, laeq khan,kafayat ullah khan(attock) shaukat abbas khan, mumtaz khan and liaqat khan are those inspector who have served and serving for police department in further different branches like antinarcotics, Punjab, traffic and motarway. where Dsp asmatullah khan has also an important personality of mochh. Touseef khan, Shafqat khan, Hashmatullah khan, Aamir khan Rashid khan, Ishaq khan, Yasir khan, Safdar raza khan, Imran khan, zeeshan khan and Waqas khan are engineers in Electronics, Telecom, Chemical and Electrical departments. Fahimullah khan, kaif khan, zubair Aziz, Sher ali khan, and approximately more than ten female are very responsible doctors from Mochh. Dr.sher ali khan is serving as medical superintendent in District Headquarters Hospital Rawalpindi. General rafiullah khan (rtd), brigadier aslam khan, col.Shafaullah khan, Col.Mumtaz khan, col.abdullah (late), col.ishrat khan, maj.imran khan, maj.asmatullah khan,Flt. Atif ameer shah, Capt.arifullah, capt.assad khan,capt kaleem ullah khan, capt.mamoon sharjeel, and many more are the military officer. Maj(rtd).asmatullah khan had even served mochh as Nazim. Shafqat khan, Zia ul Islam khan, touqeer khan and saleem khan, are civil services of Pakistan and are divisional superintendent, district collector officer, controller of railway accounts, and ambassador respectively. Where Raheel khan and aneesa khan are the two individuals who recently passed css exam and wil hopefully be CSP. Business is also adopted by some individuals of mochh who works hard and made an appropriate position in over all mianwali district. Shafiq khan having Al-Madina building Traders, Anaytullah khan,Iqbal khan and Haji kheil family are some examples. Iqbal khan (mushi kheil) is an retired army person having a large setup of business besides this he is a writer who wrote up to four edition relating to History of Niazi Tribe which made him an appropriate personality in all over mianwali district.Hafiz Tauqeer Tabassam Shehzad Khan Niazi s/o Muhammad Akram Khan(late) contractor he is serving in POF Wah Cantt and also his brothers Saqib, Hafiz Noman,Tehseen Shehzad Khan Niazi,s and Anees Shehzad Khan are serving and studing most famous organisation and school. moch has another famous tribe name noormad khel living in mohanay khel mohalla.famous people of that tribe is imtiaz hussain khan niazi proffessor in GTTI MIANWALI and EX principal of GTTI.
