Miz Ima Starr

Miz Ima Starr is a singing drag cabaret performer of stage and small screen, the comic creation of Charles Bracewell, best known for her appearances on reality TV show Australia's Got Talent.[1]

Her cabaret shows include: If Life Gives You Lemons at Festival of Voices[2] and TasPride Festival;[3] My Heart's A Drummer at Hobart Spiegeltent;[4] You Asked For It! at the Feast Festival[5] and Adelaide Fringe;[6] Gender (Off)ender at the Sydney Opera House;[7] Bassey Your Ass Off at the Adelaide Cabaret Festival;[8] Welcome to Wherthehellawee! at Adelaide Fringe;[9] Up The Disco at the Adelaide Cabaret Festival;[10] and Hello Miz American Pie at Festival of Voices,[11] Aroha Festival[12] and the Melbourne Comedy Festival[13] where the show was reviewed as "an expert blend of song and soliloquy retracing her fictional showbiz history".[14]

Miz Ima Starr albums include My Heart's A Drummer[15] and American Pie.[16] Her duet with Baitercell of Trippin' (Push Push song) was originally recorded to promote the 95bFM float at the 1998 Hero Parade, then ended up a minor hit, included on the soundtrack to the film I'll Make You Happy[17] released by Flying Nun Records.

Her notable television credits include three appearances on Australia's Got Talent including handing over the winners cheque to Bonnie Anderson (singer),[18] co-presenting eight episodes of arts interview show Beauty & The Bear,[19] and being the subject of a 60 Minutes (New Zealand) segment entitled "I'm A Star".[20]
