Mithun Ramesh is a RJ,[1] Presenter, Dubbing Artist, VJ & Indian film actor best known for his work in Malayalam cinema. Mithun Ramesh made his debut in the film Life is Beautiful with the veteran actor Mohanlal.[1] Presently, he is working as the Programming Director of Hit96.7 fm a well-known FM radio in dubai.[1]
He appears mostly in supporting roles, but has also acted in antagonistic roles. He is RJying popular drive time show called Radioactive along with his co-host.The segment called 'Excuse me' on Radioactive is one of the most popular features of the station. He’s also one of the highest paid Malayali stage host in Dubai. While pursuing his career as an RJ he was offered a role by Director Joshiy in his youth movie Sevenes. The movie got very good critical acclaim but didn’t do well in the box office. Director Joshiy was impressed with his portrayal of Ashokan. He offered his upcoming Mohanlal’s movie villain character to Mithun.[2][3]
Early Life and Career
Mithun Ramesh was born on 4 May 1981 in Trivandrum, India. He has starred in more than 20 Malayalam films. Mithun has also starred in long running TV Serials like Streejanmam, Sooryakanthi, Narmadipudava for which he has won many awards including Society for Film Critics. He made his debut in 1999 in the Malayalam film Life Is Beautiful as Rajan Panikkar. Nammal (2002) Vettam (2004) Runway (2004 film) (2004) was his breakout roles. In June 2004 he moved to Dubai, UAE to join Hit 96.7 FM as Head of Programming.
Personal life
Mithun is the great grandson of freedom fighter Swadeshabimani Ramakrishna Pillai & son of C.Ramesh Kumar & Sheela Kumari. He is married to Lakshmi Menon on 9 September 2008[4] with whom he has a daughter Tanvi.
