In only its first year in varsity football, Mission Oak became city champions after upsetting undefeated Tulare Union 17-14. The 2011 Mission Oak team finished the season 8-2 (6-2 in EYL) and lost to Wasco in the Second Round of the Division IV Central Section Playoffs. Despite that loss however, Mission Oak would become a force to be reckoned with.

In only its second year in varsity football, Mission Oak became the East Yosemite League Champions and co-city champions. The Mission Oak team finished the season 8-2 (4-1 in EYL) and lost to Bakersfield Christian in the Semi-Finals of the Division IV Central Section Playoffs.

In only its third year in varsity football, Mission Oak became city and EYL champions in 2011 with wins over district rivals Tulare Union and Tulare Western. The 2013 Mission Oak team won its first 12 games and finished section runner-up to Bakersfield Christian in Division IV. Despite the heartbreaking loss, Mission Oak fans saluted the team for finishing a 10-0 perfect season.

In 2014, Mission Oak moved to Division III and received a makeover with their school logo and football helmets. A student and a group of teachers encouraged the entire school to promote the 12th man for all of Mission Oak's Varsity Football home and neutral-site games. They created their first spirit flag which they currently use in all of Mission Oak's varsity football games. With so much support, the team finished the season with a 8-2 record (4-1 in EYL) and became co-city champions and co-EYL champions with rival Tulare Union. Unfortunately though, they were unable to secure a valley championship after falling to Madera in double overtime in the semi-finals.
