Miss Venezuela 1978 was held in Caracas, Venezuela, on April 28, 1978, after weeks of events. The winner of the pageant was Marisol Alfonzo, Miss Guárico.
The pageant was broadcast on Venevision from the Club de Sub-Oficiales in Caracas, Venezuela. At the conclusion of the final night of competition, outgoing titleholder Cristal Montañez, crowned Marisol Alfonzo of Guárico as the new Miss Venezuela. That year's competition was the very last to be broadcast on TV in monochrome, as the television broadcasts switched to color from the following year onward.
