Miss Universe 1991, the 40th Miss Universe pageant was held at the Aladdin Theatre for the Performing Arts on the Las Vegas Strip, USA on May 17, 1991.
Lupita Jones of Mexico was crowned as Miss Universe 1991 by the outgoing titleholder, Mona Grudt of Norway. Seventy-three contestants competed in the 1991 Miss Universe Pageant.
The pageant was hosted by Dick Clark for the second consecutive year, and colour commentary was provided by Leeza Gibbons for the second time and Miss Universe 1989 Angela Visser, Grudt's predecessor, for the first time.
