Miss St. Vincent & the Grenadines is a national beauty pageant that selects a contestant from Saint Vincent and the Grenadines to compete in the Miss Universe pageant.

History

Miss St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) or Miss Carnival is being the prestigious pageant in the island. In every year, the winner is not only get to walk away with all the prizes in store, but a memorable experience. Through trials, glory and prestige the Miss SVG and Miss Carival Shows have made people marks in the Vincentian culture and heritage. These remarkable emblems of this society represent the empowerment of strong, beautiful, talented and intelligent women, who have been molded to succeed.[2]

In 1964 SVG debut at Miss Universe pageant with Stella lady for the first lady from the island.[3]

Carnival Development Corporation

The Carnival Development Corporation (CDC) is an official organization to held the Miss SVG every year since 1951.[4]
