Miss Queen Portugal is a beauty contest, which is held annually in Portugal, to select a representative to Miss Earth, and other international beauty contests.
History
Miss Queen Portugal was held for the first time in 2013, at Caminha a beautiful North Portugal town. Solange Duarte, from Ovar, the first Beauty Queen ever elected Miss Queen Portugal, succeeding Susana Nogueira as Miss Earth Portuguese representative. Susana Nogueira nominated by Miss Queen Portugal Organizing Committee member, to represent Portugal at Miss Earth 2011 in Philippines, was classified in historic Top 16.
Next coronation of Miss Queen Portugal will be held in June 2014, at Ovar.
Miss Queen Portugal Organization, whose main legacy are environmental causes, following his main reference - Miss Earth Foundation, which annually celebrates the defense and promotion of an environmental cause, instituted by the UN (United Nations).
The pageant is a search for the most beautiful women of Portugal to serve as a role model dedicated to uphold the advocacy to preserve and restore Mother Earth.
The winner of Miss Queen Portugal will represent our beautiful country at MISS EARTH and serve as Portuguese Ambassador to environmental protection campaigns.
