Miss Millie's is a chain of fried chicken outlets, based in the city of Bristol, England. The company operate in ten locations in the West of England and South Wales, predominantly in Bristol.
History
The company began when Chairman Harry Latham, who had built up the KFC business in the UK with partner Ray Allen, bought out the franchises for Bristol, Weston-super-Mare and Cardiff. (KFC has since opened branches in all three areas in direct competition.[1]) Latham and his family were good friends with KFC founder Colonel Sanders and named Miss Millie's after Sanders' daughter Mildred.[2]
The first store opened on 31 July 1988. Its signature burger is Chicken in a Bun, followed by the Megabite.
Locations
Today Miss Millie's is run by Harry's four daughters and has 10 branches across Bristol, Weston-Super-Mare and Cardiff.
