The Miss Louisiana Teen USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Louisiana in the Miss Teen USA pageant.
Louisiana is ranked fifth overall in terms of the number and value of placements across all 31 years of Miss Teen USA competition . Louisiana is one of only seven states to have placed in the semi-finals (or better) on more than ten occasions .
Four Miss Louisiana Teen USA winners have also won the Miss Louisiana USA title (1996, 2000, 2005 and 2014).
Notable former Miss Louisiana Teen USA titleholders are Ali Landry, Jennifer Dupont, Shelley Hennig, Candice Stewart and Brittany Guidry.
Landry went on to win the Miss Louisiana USA and Miss USA titles in 1996 and has built a successful acting career.
Dupont, winner of the Teen title in 1998 and the Miss title in 2000, later became a Triple Crown winner after winning the Miss Louisiana 2004 title and competing at Miss America 2005, placing 1st Runner-Up to Deidre Downs of Alabama. Dupont and one other teen from Louisiana have competed at Miss America.
Hennig won the Miss Teen USA crown in 2004 and was an actress on the NBC soap opera Days of Our Lives.
Stewart, winner of the Teen title in 2002 and the Miss title in 2005, was a contestant on CBS's Big Brother 15 in 2013.
Guidry, winner of the Teen title in 2009 and the Miss title in 2014, is one of only a handful of contestants to place in the Top 5 at both Miss Teen USA (4th Runner-Up) and Miss USA (3rd Runner-Up).
Miss Louisiana Teen USA is produced by RPM Productions, which also produces the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA state pageants for Alabama, North Carolina and South Carolina. RPM Productions' headquarters is in Aiken, South Carolina.
The current titleholder is Katherine Haik, from Franklinton.
