Miss Guyana is a national beauty pageant for women in Guyana. Traditionally the pageant will select the winner for Miss Universe pageant.

History

Guyana was participated at the Miss Universe pageant since 1956 and called as Miss British Guiana until 1966. In 1988 Guyana was used the official sashes at the Miss Universe as Miss Guyana.

In 2002 Miss Guyana renamed as Miss Guyana Universe in under management of Odinga Lumumba in Georgetown, Guyana.
