Miss Cook Islands is the biggest national beauty pageant for women in the Islands. The pageant established in 1960 and official national pageant to select representative at International pageants.
History
The Miss Cook Islands pageant started in 1960 and usually held in every two years. The pageant is framed as a tourist attraction, although few tourists attended. The main sponsors at the pageant are connected to the tourist industry.
The Miss Cook Islands pageant categorized in three sections, such as Swimwear Competition, Evening Gown Competition and Talent Show. Before selecting the winner, the pageant will also select some important special awards for Miss Congeniality, Miss Photogenic, Miss Tourism Ambassador, Best in Talent, and Best in Interview.
