Mishcon de Reya is an international law firm with offices in London offering a range of legal and advocacy services for businesses and individuals. The firm was founded by Victor Mishcon in 1937. In January 2010 Mishcon de Reya opened an associated office in New York, Mishcon de Reya New York LLP.
In the Legal Business Awards 2012,[1] Mishcon de Reya was named Law Firm of the year[2] and Real Estate team of the year.[3] The firm is ranked within the top 39 largest in the UK by turnover, according to an annual survey conducted by The Lawyer.
Notable clients
The firm gained attention when Anthony Julius represented Diana, Princess of Wales in her divorce.
A partner in the firm, barrister Charlotte Harris, has represented former UK Energy Minister Chris Huhne, who was alleged to have asked his (then) wife Vicky Pryce to take on his penalty points to avoid a driving ban for speeding. A trial was set for October 2012.[4] See R v Huhne and Pryce.
The firm's office was used by Leon Brittan for an interview amid allegations of rape, which he has denied, in June 2014: "The veteran Conservative figure, who was made a life peer in 2000, is understood to have been questioned by police at the central London offices of his lawyers Mishcon De Reya last month." [5]

Mishcon de Reya’s expertise covers five areas: analysing risk, protection of assets, managing wealth, resolving disputes and building businesses. They have a reputation in each area, and have won accolades for their work in family and employment law.[6]
Activism
In 2008, the firm launched the specialist ‘Pink Law’ Legal Advice Centre in conjunction with Queen Mary, University of London and two other city law firms. The project offers free and impartial legal advice on issues affecting the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) community, such as employment discrimination, civil partnerships and cohabitation.[7]
