Clemmisa Louise Harris (born October 18, 1984) better known as Misee Harris, is an American actress, film producer, and lifestyle blogger.[1]

Career

Harris launched a social media campaign to be America's first Black Bachelorette. She turned down an opportunity to be a contestant on ABC's show The Bachelor so that she wouldn't be labeled as the "token black girl".[2]

In 2014, Harris was forced to resign from her job as a pediatric dentist due to her protesting for the killing of the late Michael Brown of Ferguson, Missouri.[3][4]

Personal life

In 2014, Misee Harris began dating Emmy winning screenwriter, Christoph Silber. The couple announced their engagement in January 2015.[5]

Education

Harris obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biology degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, Tennessee in 2006. She then earned a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from The University of Kentucky Colllege of Dentistry in 2011. Dr. Harris is the first African American female to be accepted into a residency in pediatric dentistry at The University of Kentucky.[6]
