Minster (Reading ward)

Minster is an electoral ward in Reading, Berkshire.[1] It south-west of the town centre, straddling the canalised River Kennet. It is bordered clockwise by Battle, Abbey, Katesgrove, Whitley and Southcote wards.[2]

As with all wards, apart from smaller Mapledurham, it elects three councillors. Elections since 2004 are held by thirds, with elections in three years out of four.

Since 2010 a Labour Party or Labour and Co-operative Party candidate has won every election, namely in 2011, 2012 and 2014.

These Councillors are currently, in order of election: Paul Gittings (Lab), Liz Terry (Lab and Coop) and Marian Livingston (Lab).[3]
