In 2011, both Metropolis sides earned spots in the Sweet 16 held in Manassas, VA on May 21-22. The DI team lost both matches while the DIII team won both matches, this advanced them to the Final Four in Glendale CO. The Killer B's first match was against the South Bay Rhinos from San Bernardino, CA. A big comeback got the Rhinos only so far and Metropolis went onto to win 24-19 which advanced them to the National Championship against Syracuse.
