Millennium is a Swedish six-part television series based on the film adaptations of Stieg Larsson's Millennium series, that was broadcast in 2010. The series was produced by Yellow Bird in cooperation with several production companies, including SVT, Nordisk Film, Film i Väst and ZDF Enterprises. At Kristallen 2010, the series won the prize for "Årets TV-drama" ("This year's TV drama").[1]
Production
Each episode of the series is about 90 minutes long,[2] which makes the television series about 110 minutes longer than the movies, with more depth in both the stories and the characters. It was broadcast in six parts on SVT1 between 20 March 2010 and 24 April 2010.[3] Later in the summer of that year the series was released on DVD and Blu-ray, with the following additional support material and deleted scenes.

A box set of the miniseries was released on in the U.S. by Music Box Home Entertainment on December 6, 2011.[4]
