Mike Reed (boxer)

Mike "Yes Indeed" Reed (born 12th Jan 1993) is an American unbeaten professional boxer from Waldorf, Maryland.[1] Reed was a decorated amateur, winning the National Golden Gloves Championship at 141 lbs. in 2011. For that performance he was named 2011 Amateur Boxer of the Year by the boxing and MMA website Stiff Jab.

Pro career

Reed turned professional in February 2013. He fought and won six times in 2013,[2][3] fighting mostly on cards promoted by Keystone Boxing in the Washington, D.C. region. Reed finished the year with quality wins over Ramesis Gil and Randy Fuentes, which resulted in Stiff Jab naming him 2013 Prospect of the Year.[4]

Reed began 2014 by stopping Jorge Marquez at Rosecroft Raceway on January 17, 2014.[5] He is currently self-managed, self-promoted, and trained by his father Coach Michael "Buck" Pinson.[6]
