Mike Puru (born 20 August 1975 in Gore, New Zealand) is one of New Zealand's most successful Radio DJ/Presenters best known for working at The Edge. He also competed on 2006 New Zealand reality show Sing Like a Superstar and in the early 2000s he was Co-host of Flipside. Mike has also hosted 2 years of the Rockquest TV show as well as a local documentary called Rumba with Jane Yee, and fellow radio presenter Joe Cotton. Mike was the head boy of St. Peters College in hometown Gore.

Mike came out on air in New Zealand in 2010, and shortly after announced his engagement to his partner of 8 years, Regan Wallis. This was followed by a lavish party in the Auckland Viaduct with PM John Key among the guest list. In May 2012 Mike confirmed the relationship was over.

In October 2012 Mike became one of the inaugural TV presenters on The Shopping Channel (New Zealand), New Zealand's first and only home shopping channel.[1] A career highlight included interviewing Eva Longoria live on air during the Hollywood star's brief first visit to New Zealand as a guest of The Shopping Channel.[2][3]
