Miho Miyazaki (宮崎美穂, born July 30, 1993 in Tokyo, Japan) is a member of the Japanese girl idol group AKB48. Currently a member of AKB48's Team K, she was formerly in the group's Team B and before reshuffling she was the member of Team A.

Biography

2007

In 2007, Miho Miyazaki passed an audition for AKB48 and became a 5th generation kenkyūsei (trainee).

2008

On July 13, 2008, she was promoted to Team A[1] along with 4 other girls.

It was on the 11th single "Ōgoe Diamond", released on October 22, 2008 when Miho Miyazaki was selected to perform on the title track for the first time, and since then she started being selected for the title tracks of all singles in a row.

2009

In February 2009, she moved to another talent agency, Horipro. Since then, she has been playing under the number 30 for the footsal team Xanadu loves NHC.

In the AKB48's 13th single elections, held in May–June, 2009, Miho placed 18th, thus passing the selection for the title track.[2]

On July 10, 2009, for an event dedicated to the Nattō Day, Miyazaki with Tomomi Itano and Tomomi Kasai formed a group called Nattō Angel. At the event, they sang the self-titled track.[3]

2010

On January 22, in the TV series Majisuka Gakuen, Miho Miyazaki debuted as an actress.

On May 21, Miho Miyazaki was transferred from Team A to Team B. The transfer was announced on August 23 of the previous year.

In the AKB48's 17th single selection Miyazaki placed 21st with 6,231 votes.[4][5] This result was enough to pass the selection for the title track, but left her out of the media senbatsu*, that she was part of for the previous, 16th, single "Ponytail to Shushu".

In July, she again participated in the Nattō Day celebration. That time, her group was called Nattō Angel Z, and the other girls in the unit were Sumire Satō and Haruka Ishida, both from Team B.

When on November 20, 2010, AKB48 gave a concert at the J-pop Culture Festival in Moscow, Russia, Miho Miyazaki was one of the 12 members, selected for the show.

*Media sembatsu is a 16-member team, which members receive close-ups in the music video and which performs the song in the media, e.g. TV shows.

2011

On May 14, 2011, Misaki Iwasa, Mika Komori, and Miho Miyazaki launched the first AKB48 concept store in Singapore. The event gathered hundreds of fans.[6]

In the 22nd single senbatsu elections, Miho Miyazaki placed 27th.[7][8]

2012

In the 27th single senbatsu elections, held on June 6 at Nippon Budokan,[9] Miho Miyazaki placed 38th.[10]

Miyazaki is being again transferred from Team B to Team K as part of the teams' reshuffle announced during the Tokyo Dome concert on August 24, 2012.[11]
