The Middle East Monitor (MEMO) is a not for profit[1] press monitoring organization, founded on July 1, 2009.[2] MEMO is focused on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict but writes about other issues in the middle east as well. MEMO generally supports Islamist positions within Palestinian politics.[3]
Staff
The staff and contributors of MEMO include Daud Abdullah, Ibrahim Hewitt and Ben White. One of MEMO's honorary advisers is Tariq Ramadan, an Oxford University lecturer and grandson of Muslim Brotherhood founder Hassan al-Banna.[4]
MEMO Publishers
MEMO Publishers is a venture by the Middle East Monitor, with the first book published in June 2012. It publishes a range of authors who write about the Middle East, as well as providing a platform for up and coming writers to share their work about the region.[5]
