Micropeplinae are a subfamily of Staphylinidae.[1]

Ecology
Habitat: leaf litter, lake shores, marshy areas, mammal and bird nests.
Collection Method: luck.
Biology: probably saprophages or mold feeders.
Systematics
In North America, two genera: Kalissus nitidus LeConte 1874 (British Columbia and Washington); Micropeplus Latreille, 14 species widespread.
