Microhyla chakrapanii is a species of narrow-mouthed frog only known from the type locality, Mayabunder, in the Andaman Islands.[2] Little is known about this rare species: it is presumed to be a fossorial or terrestrial species, possibly associated with leaf-litter substrate; it presumably breeds in water by larval development.[1]
