Micrococcineae is a suborder of bacteria of the order Actinomycetales. They are gram-positive soil organisms. It is also paraphyletic with respect to the suborder Actinomycetineae and order Bifidobacteriales, i.e. Actinomycetineae and Bifidobacteriales are both nested within the clade Micrococcineae.
Phylogeny
The currently accepted taxonomy is based on the List of Prokaryotic names with Standing in Nomenclature (LPSN) [1] and National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI)[2] and the phylogeny is based on 16S rRNA-based LTP release 106 by The All-Species Living Tree Project [3]
