Micrixalus herrei is a newly redescribed species of frog in the Micrixalidae family.[1] It was a former synonym of M. fuscus, originally described in 1942,[2] and synonymized in 1984.[3] DNA evidence has found this species to be valid.[1] It is endemic to India.
Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and rivers.
