Michel Weyland
Michel Weyland (born 19 August 1947, in Brussels) is a Belgian artist, writer and cartoonist.[1][2]
Biography
- He earned his humanities arts at the Institut Saint-Luc in Brussels.
- In 1969, during his final year of study, he published in the Journal de Tintin comic series stylized sci-fi: Stereo-land.
- From 1969 to 1979, he worked as a retoucher in a large photogravure Brussels.
- In 1974, he made a few cartoons for the weekly Belgian Why Not?.
- In August 1979, he created the character of Aria and draft his first adventure.
- In September 1979, he left for photoengraving devote himself exclusively to comics. It starts in the Tintin end of 1979, with a humorous short story (Marriage in the 7th Dimension) and two others, realistic and historical (The Knight Prédor the exclusive interview with Nostradamus).
- In 1980, the series begins in the Aria Tintin.
- In 1988, seems Yvanaëlle, the Lady of Mordorez, a story that combines science fiction fairy tale (Stories and Legends Collection, edition of Lombard).
- In 1994, Michel Weyland leaves editions of Lombard Editions Dupuis.
- From 1994 to 2001, eight new stories are written by Aria Éditions Dupuis, in the collection "Markings" and in Spirou.
- In 1997 and 1998, all titles in the series Aria Editions du Lombard progressively republished by Editions Dupuis.
