Michael Wild (born 27 March 1981) is an English amateur and former professional English snooker player.
Career
Wild has regularly appeared as an amateur in Challenge Tour International Open Series, Players Tour Championship and Q School events which all come with qualification to the professional World Snooker Tour. Wild spent one season on the professional tour, the 2003/2004 season, however in 8 ranking events he only one two qualification matches, both in the British Open to Kristjan Helgason and Munraj Pal, before losing to Mike Dunn in the last 80 stage.[2] Wild won only £3,850 prize money during the season[2] and dropped off the tour ranked 121st.[1] Wild has also featured in various ranking tournaments and Masters Qualifying Events as a top up amateur player and was a game away from qualifying for the 2012 Australian Goldfields Open after beating Daniel Wells 5–0, Simon Bedford 5–2, Steve Davis 5–0, before a 0–5 loss to Ken Doherty in the final qualifying round.[3][4]
