Michael W. Hoover

Michael W. Hoover is a Presiding Judge of the Wisconsin Court of Appeals.

Biography

Hoover was born on December 21, 1951 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and was raised in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin.[1] He graduated with honors from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and cum laude from the University of Wisconsin Law School. He is a member of the Order of the Coif.[2]

Career

Hoover was Assistant District Attorney of Marathon County, Wisconsin from 1978 to 1980; and in private practice and Assistant City Attorney of Wausau, Wisconsin from 1980 to 1988. Later, he became a Wisconsin Circuit Court Judge, serving from 1988 until joining the Court of Appeals in 1997.
