Michael Torpey (born October 9, 1979) is an American actor best known for his work for the production studio Black20, his recurring role on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, and for the Chase Freedom credit card commercials.

Early life

Torpey was born in Glen Rock, New Jersey. He attended Glen Rock High School, graduating in 1998, and earned a bachelor's degree in theater from Colgate University in 2002.[1]

Career

Torpey is a founding member of Black20, a production studio based in New York City that created the web series net_work starring Torpey, as well as a mockumentary series called The Middle Show and a news parody called Black20 News.[2] In addition to web series, Black20 also produces viral videos.

In 2010, Torpey began starring in Chase Freedom credit card commercials and was in a Hanes commercial with Michael Jordan.[3] In 2012, he became a semi-regular guest and announcer on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.
