Michael Stelzner is a serial entrepreneur and author. He is the founder and CEO of Social Media Examiner and the author of Launch: How to Quickly Propel Your Business Beyond the Competition (Wiley).

Career

Stelzner founded his first company, a creative services agency, in 1996 after being fired from a mid-sized corporation.[1]

After he lost a $100,000 dollar contract when the dot com bubble burst in 2001, Stelzner started "White Paper Source", a resource designed to help businesses with the craft of creating and marketing white papers.[2]

In 2005, he started the blog, Writing White Papers, and subsequently built a list of 25,000 subscribers.[3] In 2009, Stelzner founded Social Media Examiner, which made over $1 million its first year.[4] In 2012, Stelzner launched MyKidsAdventures.com. Following the Social Media Examiner online magazine model, the site helps busy parents create adventures with their children anywhere.[5]

Author

In 2006, Stelzner published his first book, Writing White Papers: How to Capture Readers and Keep them Engaged.[6]

In 2011, Stelzner wrote Launch: How to Quickly Propel Your Business Beyond the Competition (Wiley).[7]
